INNOVATION IN BIODEGRADABLES AND CHEMISTRY

THE LEVEL OF PLASTIC WASTE PRODUCT POLLUTION OCCURRING IN OCEANS GLOBALLY IS PLAYING A CATASTROPHIC ROLE IN OCEAN CONSERVATION OF SPECIES. WAY TO GO CHINESE CHEMISTS AND INNOVATORS FOR THIS FORMULA AND INNOVATION. SEA TURTLES GLOBALLY ARE PROUD OF YOU!

Meet Solubag, a biodegradable and non-polluting soluble bag that's made from plastic-free materials. (Follow Tech That Matters for more.)

The oil-free bag is made from polyvinyl alcohol and uses limestone as raw materials. The harmless and non-toxic bag dissolves in water within 5 minutes.

After the bag is dissolved, it leaves no residue apart from some harmless carbon, which is even safe to drink. The materials are already approved by FDA.

According to the inventors, the bags don't cost more to make and the formula can be applied to all kinds of plastic objects, such as cutlery or food packaging.

And don’t worry if you get caught in the rain with a bag, the company claims their patented raw material can be made to respond to warm water only.

According to the United Nations, 5 trillion plastic bags are used every year in the world and 70 percent of them end up in the environment including the ocean.

Could Solubag be the solution to the world's plastic pollution?

What do you think?
